Yuh Okano's textiles are inspired by the designer’s deep fascination with the world of nature. Yuh seeks to embrace the intangible, to know the ephemeral...opening up her senses to the sensations of nature - a gentle breeze that rustles the leaves, the soft patter of raindrops on cool, wet grass; falling leaves, as they twirl through the sky... and designs these moments into the delicate patterns, colors, and textures reflected in her scarves, shawls and accessories. Each of Yuh Okano’s creations is hand made from an array of different textiles and thought out in terms of color, material and what season it will be worn in to make a beautiful and unique final product.
