A 1990 graduate of Fashion Design from the National Institute of Fashion Technology, New Delhi, Sonam began with the vanguard of Indian Fashion - Rohit Khosla. Thereafter, he enjoyed an eight year rich exploratory journey in Theatre Design and Advertising, while traveling extensively, enriching his creative experience.
Sonam is a very spiritual designer, and combines his belief in reincarnation into his designs by using recycling as a concept for his materials. He also strives to incorporate traditional eastern thought and philosophy through inspired silhouettes like the bakhu and honjus re-invented into chic and contemporary versions with stripes providing relief.
