A 1st generation Chinese American, Melissa ties much of her influence to her Chinese heritage, especially the culture’s deep respect and esteem for nature. She uses various metals, including precious metal clays, to create unique sculptural jewelry to wear and/or display all works however are primarily made with recycled fine silver and bamboo. She describes her jewelry style as green, eco-friendly, sustainable, and organic.
