Farooq graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology and the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan. He was also the Associate Professor teaching textile fundamentals, Fashion design, and fiber structure at National College of Arts. In his spare time, Farooq has held various exhibits and workshops.
